Due to recent changes in insurance coverage requirements and an increase in claim denials across many insurance plans, we ask that all families verify their insurance benefits before therapy services begin. Taking this step now can help prevent delays in care, unexpected costs, or interruptions in your child’s therapy.
Before Your First Appointment
Please contact your insurance provider and ask the following questions:
Coverage
- Are outpatient pediatric therapy services covered under my plan?
- Are Physical Therapy (PT), Occupational Therapy (OT), and/or Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) covered benefits?
Referrals & Authorizations
- Is a referral required before services can begin?
- Is prior authorization required before services can begin?
Visit Requirements
- Are there any visit limits?
- Are there frequency restrictions?
- Are there medical necessity requirements?
Diagnosis Coverage
- Which diagnoses are covered for PT, OT, and/or SLP services?
- Are there any diagnoses that are excluded from coverage?
Financial Responsibility
- What will my financial responsibility be?
- Copay

If Coverage Is Denied
