Shannon Sherry

Medical Day Care Administrator

Shannon Sherry currently serves as the Administrator of Weisman Children’s Medical Day Care Center in Pennsauken, New Jersey, where she supervises staff and contractors, ensures compliance with the Department of Health and Child Care regulations, revises policies, collaborates with referring physicians and organizations, and ensures that patients receive the best care. Shannon has been with Weisman Children’s since 2012.

Prior to her current position, she held the Director of Nursing position, where she was responsible for supervising all nursing staff and assistive personnel, managing the nursing services provided at Medical Day Care, was involved in the pre-admission and discharge planning processes and developed the interdisciplinary plan of care for each child. She also held a staff nursing position where she provided direct care to children from birth to six years of age with special needs such as seizure disorders, severe asthma, and sickle cell disease; children requiring supplemental tube feedings, nebulizer treatments and airway management.

Prior to her employment with Weisman Children’s, Shannon worked as a staff nurse at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children from 2008-2015. From 2008-2010, she worked on a medical surgical floor specializing in renal patients and dialysis. During this time, she provided direct care to pediatric patients and functioned as a charge nurse working closely with the nurse manager and staff. During the remainder of her time at St. Christopher’s, Shannon worked in the nursing pool providing direct care to patients in various units throughout the hospital. Shannon holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Drexel University and a second Bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion from Rowan University. She is passionate about educating staff to grow their knowledge to better care for our patients and families.
