Mohammed Jawaad Hussain, M.D. currently serves as Director of Complex Disease Management Programs at Weisman Children’s Rehabilitation Hospital, where he oversees and guides the care of patients and families in their care at the hospital. Dr. Hussain has been with Weisman Children’s since 2016.
Dr. Hussain is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric hospital medicine with areas of expertise in medically complex children & chronic pain.
Dr. Hussain graduated from SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY and completed his pediatric residency at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, PA in 2012. He is currently a pediatrician and attending physician at the Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper serving as co-chair of the Pediatric Process Improvement Committees. Dr. Hussain is also an Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University.
Dr. Hussain is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, having held leadership positions in the New Jersey Chapter of the AAP. At the Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, Dr. Hussain is also a faculty mentor to the Muslim Medical Students Association (MMSA) and PlayPals, a student-run group that provides companionship to hospitalized children. He is co-medical director of New Jersey chapter of Reach Out & Read.
Dr. Hussain has 3 children: two soccer players and a guitarist.
